One Sunday morning an announcement was made at my church that during the evening service, a phone call was going to be placed with a missionary from our church who was currently in Brazil. A few months earlier a similar phone call was placed and the connection to the house audio system was done by placing a microphone near the speaker on a cell phone. To prevent this from happening at the current evening service, I went home and designed a simple patch box that allows connection of a cell phone directly to a mixer board, eliminating the need for holding a cell phone to the microphone on stage.
